History & Activities

Florida State Road 30A was at one time just eighty acres of inherited land. With the vision and dream of Robert Davis, Seaside was created in 1979. This was the beginning of what is now known as “30A.”

From Sandestin to Panama City you will find eleven communities that make up this eighteen mile stretch of scenic highway: Seagrove Beach, Seaside, Watercolor, Grayton Beach, Blue Mountain Beach, Seacrest, Santa Rosa Beach, Dune Allen Beach, Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach and Watersound Beach. From one of a kind shops, world known restaurants and coastal dunes you will find each to have its own personality.

Annual events include the Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach, ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival every May, Seaside 5k and Half Marathon and the 30A Songwriters Festival to name just a few.
