Rob reviews what he learned about how the military affects the housing market on the Emerald Coast.

The housing of the Emerald Coast is heavily influenced by the military. I just came out of a meeting from where Shandra Newman, who is the commanding officer of the Pensacola Naval Air Station, presented on how housing is affected by the military here in our area. She said that not only do we have the enlisted or the trainees that come in for the first time, but they often bite tooth and nail to come back as trainers later on in their career, and then after that, they choose to retire here.
So we might see the same people come in three times to live in our area. And why? It's because we have one of the most beautiful areas on earth here. We have not just beautiful scenery along the water, but we also have great culture, great people.
