Midway

Located east of Gulf Breeze proper and to the west of Navarre is the small town of Midway, Florida. Midway is boarded to the South by the Sound and the Intercostal Waterway. To the North of it is Pensacola's East Bay. Midway is in Santa Rosa County.

History & Activities

Midway has been showing substantial growth for the past couple of decades. Up until the early 1980’s there were no stoplights and only a select few retail stores in the town. Over time large retail stores have moved in, including Walmart and Lowes as well as many restaurants. Many of the businesses are located along the Hwy 98 corridor.

The Tiger Point Golf Course is a good place to work on your game and the Tiger Point Recreation Park is a good place for kids to work on theirs, whether it be baseball, football, cheerleading, or soccer. The Club Sports Complex is a great place to swim, work out or play tennis. 

Midway is home to many waterfront parks are in the area, where you can launch a boat or fish.  If you ever have some time in the area, be sure to check out Soundside Park; it's owned by the University of West Florida and has the remains of an unidentified shipwreck.

With the growth increasing in Midway, prices of homes have steadily increased. Though the price of living has increased, the number of people wanting to move to this area has not.
